Life As We Know It, For Colored Girls, You Again, Paranormal 2...

This week, the romantic comedy Life As We Know It, starring Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel is released. The only bonus feature is a set of Deleted Scenes.  Also released, Tyler Perry's drama For Colored Girls (based on the play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf," by Ntozake Shange), starring Janet Jackson, Thandie Newton, Whoopi Goldberg, and Phylicia Rashad. Extras include an interactive documentary, "Prism of Poems," and a few other featurettes about the film.

The chick flick, You Again, starring Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Bell, Odette Yustman, and Betty White.  Extras include an on-the-set featurette with director Andy Fickman, an "Ask the Cast" feature, "Funny or Die" with the full cast, three deleted scenes, and a few other featurettes.

I Spit on Your Grave, the remake of the 1978 revenge slasher thriller, is released.  This one stars Sarah Butler as the victim/slasher.  Extras include an audio commentary with the director Steven R. Monroe and producer Lisa Hansen, a feature about "Remaking a Cult Icon," deleted scenes, and marketing ads.  Another in the realm of horror/sequels/remakes area, Paranormal Activity 2, which just includes a trailer and "Found Footage."

Outside of the feature film releases are Columbo: Mystery Movie Collection 1991-1993, which includes six two-hour TV movies starring Peter Falk in his emmy-winning role as police lieutenant Columbo.  Also from TV land, Doctor Who: The Movie, the 1995 TV movie that aired on FOX, starring Paul McGann as The Doctor.  Finally, Billy Joel's concert documentary film The Last Play at Shea,narrated by Alec Baldwin, documents the very last concert ever filmed at the Shea Stadium in New York.  The film is as much about Joel's concert as it is about the history of the stadium and New York Mets.
