This week, the new DVD releases are topped off with Disney's animated classic
Bambi on Blu-ray/DVD combo. The new extras for this release include a "Disney's Second Screen" viewing option, with content that "comes alive on your laptop, or iPad as you watch the movie." The movie is shown in its original aspect ratio of 1.33:1, however, there is a "Disney View" option; which is a 16x9 "full frame viewing experience." Other extras include an enhanced interactive edition of "Inside Walt's Story Meetings," 2 never-before-seen deleted scenes, a deleted song, and all the previous DVD bonus features are carried over.
Also this week,
Burlesque, the dance musical starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. Extras on Burlesque are a Director's Commentary, an alternate opening, "The Burlesque Lounge: Alternate Full Musical Performances," and a blooper reel. The Oscar-nominated film
127 Hours, starring James Franco, is out this week, as is the romantic dramedy
Love & Other Drugs, starring
Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. Surprisingly, one of the top three best sellers this week is the workout DVD by Jillian Michaels, Ripped in 30.
