Upstairs Downstairs and Human Planet (That's It???)

This is not a great week for new DVD releases. There are no big theatrical features released, nor a hugely popular (U.S.) TV show.

In fact, the top seller this week is the British TV drama Upstairs, Downstairs, which is an updated version of the series of the same name from the '70s.  The second top seller this week is yet another BBC series, Human Planet, the eight-part documentary series about the relationship between humans and nature.

Other top releases this week include several animated DVDs: South Park Season 14, Eden of East: The King of Eden, and The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Volume 1 and Volume 2.  Rounding out the humdrum list are a Criterion version of the 1981 Brian De Palma thriller Blow Out and the British series Doc Martin Collection 1-4.
